Doria Pamphilj Tour

A half-day private walking tour of the Gallery.

The Doria Pamphilj Gallery is a large art collection housed in the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj still privately owned by the princely Roman family Doria Pamphilj.

Itinerary

Walking through the state rooms and the gilded galleries you will discover the unique collection of paintings, furniture and statuary, including Velasquez' Portrait of Innocent X, who rose to papacy as cardinal Giovan Battista Pamphilj in 1644, and two paintings by Caravaggio: Penitent Magdelene and The Rest on the Flight into Egypt. There is also a private chapel with a mummified corpse of the family saint!
