A half-day introduction to baroque Rome.
This tour of fountains, piazzas, and churches will allow you to enjoy the work of great artists including Caravaggio and Bernini, including Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain.
The tour begins at the famous Spanish Steps, and then goes to the Trevi Fountain, where you can toss the coin that will ensure you will return one day to Rome.
We will then visit the baroque Saint Ignazio church and the Pantheon, the best conserved Roman temple. Nearby is San Luigi dei Francesi, in which is the wonderful Chapel of Saint Matthew decorated by the genius of Caravaggio (closed on Thursday afternoons).
The tour ends in Piazza Navona, decorated with the famous Four Rivers Fountain, a Baroque masterpiece designed by Bernini.
