A full-day introduction to Rome, containing many of the essential sights.
The tour starts at the Vatican Museums. (This is one of the biggest collections in the world: therefore the visit will focus only on the wonderful Sistine chapel and a few other highlights of the collection, otherwise you risk to spend the whole morning there!)
After the Museums, the overview of The Vatican will be completed with a trip to Saint Peter's Basilica.
Next it's on to the heart of Rome, with a visit to Piazza Navona, with the beautiful baroque fountains by Bernini, and The Pantheon, the best conserved temple of ancient Rome, dating back the second century
After a quick lunch break, it's time to see the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can drop the coin that will ensure you will come back to Rome again.
The tour continues at the Capitoline Hill, with the Renaissance square designed by Michelangelo and the astonishing view over the Roman Forum.
Finally, there's time to see The Colosseum, one of the most famous monuments in the world.
Duration: 7 hours (including lunch break)
