A daytrip to the famous ruins of Pompeii

With your private local guide you will explore the amazingly well-preserved archaeological excavations of Pompeii, the prosperous Roman city whose life was interrupted in the year 79AD by the lava and ash coming from the Vesuvio vulcanic eruption. The city remained buried for many centuries and was rediscovered only in the 18th century.

Itinerary

This excursion will last about 10 hrs in total (including the transfer time from Rome and back, about 3 hrs by car each way).
You will meet your local guide at your arrival in Pompeii and she will give you a tour for 2.5-3 hrs.

For this tour we will arrange a private transportation: driver will pick you up at your hotel in the morning, will wait for you in Pompeii, and after the tour - and the time for a brief lunch - he will drive you back to Rome where you will be dropped at your hotel.
